Electric vehicles are generally divided into three categories: EV(Electric vehicles) ,HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle), FCE(Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle). Therefore, we should consider many factors when choosing charging piles.
1.Charging wallbox: likes a small box that can be arranged freely and is usually designed to be hung on a wall or on a parking’s pillars. The charging box will reserve a hole for the charging gun, which can be inserted when not in use. The rated output power of the charging wallbox is 7KW, the actual power is 6.5KW.
For example, the average capacity of hybrid electric cars is 15kwh, and it typically maintains 15% power until it is recharged .Then the actual need to supplement is only 15×80% = 12kwh, according to the output power of 6.5kwh per hour, it takes less than two hours to fill, after fulling can reach to 80-120km.
The efficiency of electric vehicles using charging wallbox is naturally low. The capacity of electric vehicles is generally 75kwh at about 600km. 10~15% of the electric power is generally retained before charging .Then the actual need to supplement is 67.5 KWH , charging time is (67.5÷6.5≈10.38h). It takes more than 10 hours to recharge and can travel more than 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Electric vehicles generally have two charging ports, one is fast charging interface, the other is slow charging interface.
2.DC charging pile: suitable for pure electric vehicles, as well as a few plug-in hybrid cars that provide fast charging.
DC pile is a fast charging pile, electric power can reach dozens of kilowatts per hour (degree); The standard for fast charging of electric cars is generally “80%-30min”, which means that it can be restored to 80% in half an hour, even if the capacity reaches 100kwh. And the cost of fast pile filling is also relatively high and the installation process is complex.
3.AC charging pile: The installation process is simple and the charging efficiency is lower than DC charging pile . It usually takes 6-8 hours. AC charging pile can protect the battery and has small load on the transformer.
